DONEGAL manager Rory Gallagher says his team are ‘soldiering on’ as they turn their attention to facing Cork in the Round 4B qualifiers on Saturday week.
Gallagher said that there was ‘extreme disappointment’ in the Donegal dressing room after Sunday’s Ulster Final loss to Tyrone, and it will be a difficult defeat for the team to recover from.
The Donegal manager is adamant that the camp are not worried about any criticism that has been directed their way this week, and they are now preparing for a tough test against Cork, after they were drawn against the Munster side in Monday’s draw on Morning Ireland.
“We’re soldiering on. Listen, we’re obviously very disappointed with Sunday’s result, but we were back in light training on Tuesday and we’re getting back at it,” said Gallagher.
“It’s not something that we wanted to be faced with, but we’ve been here before and we’ll try to lift it.
“Win or lose last week, we were always going to Croke Park. It’s not the path that we wanted to take, but we are still in it, and we’re grateful that there’s another path that we can take.”
