Donegal’s thriving food scene has once again captured national attention, with eight of the county’s producers making the coveted Blas na hÉireann 2024 finalists list.
This achievement highlights the exceptional quality and diversity of Donegal’s food and drink offerings, solidifying the county’s reputation as a powerhouse in the Irish culinary world.
The Donegal-based finalists, representing a range of categories, include AlgaSÚ, Donegal Rapeseed Oil, Island Seafoods Ltd, Kombucha Na Dálaigh, Little Mammas Gelato, McConnell Meats Limited, P Mulrine’s & Sons, and The Grow House.
Their selection underscores the innovation and dedication these producers bring to the table, making them stand out in a competition that saw over 3,000 entries from across Ireland.
Blas na hÉireann, now in its 17th year, continues to grow in prestige, with 2024 marking another record-breaking year for the awards.
The judging, which took place in June and July, showcased the immense talent across the country.
The awards ceremony will take place over a three-day event from Thursday, October 3rd to Saturday, October 5th in the charming town of Dingle.
