Donegal’s fine 2024 season has been recognised in the list of nominations for the PwC Football All-Stars for 2024 announced today.
Donegal have secured seven nominations out of the list of 45.
Goalkeeper Shaun Patton (St Eunan’s) has been selected and will be up against Tyrone’s Niall Morgan and Blaine Hughes of Armagh.
Ryan McHugh (Kilcar), Brendan McCole (St Naul’s), Peadar Mogan (St Naul’s), and Caolan McGonagle (Buncrana) are all in the mix in defence.
Michael Langan (St Michael’s) is included in the midfield category, while Oisin Gallen (Sean MacCumhaill’s) is expected to win an All Star in the forward line.
Ciaran Moore of St Eunan’s is also in contention for the Young Player of the Year gong and will go up against Johnny McGrath (Galway) and Oisin Conaty (Armagh).
The Orchard county are celebrating 11 places in the list of 45 that represent the cream of the crop from the football season.
In addition, star defender Barry McCambridge has been nominated for PwC GAA/GPA Footballer of the Year where he is joined on the shortlist by Galway duo Paul Conroy and John Maher.

The nominations were chosen by a panel of Gaelic Games journalists from across, print, radio, TV and digital media. The All-Stars scheme stretches back to 1971, and the PwC All-Stars will be shown live on RTÉ at a special banquet in the RDS on Friday, November 1st – the 140th anniversary of the formation of the GAA.
