Donegal 1-19 Down 0-16
Donegal made it into another Ulster final with a six point win over Down in St Tiernach’s Park, Clones.
It took a while to get going for Donegal but Patrick McBrearty’s 20th minute goal gave them a good lead that they had increased to eight by half-time with McBrearty and Michael Murphy adding three points each in a 1-12 to 0-7 lead.
Dáire Ó Baoill kicked a two-pointer in the first half and he added another score after the break along with McBrearty, Ciaran Moore and Conor O’Donnell as Donegal went nine ahead.
Down kept battling with Pat Havern to the fore, but a Michael Langan two-point free and a Shaun Patton ’45 helped Jim McGuinness’ side hold a comfortable lead.
It’s a repeat of last year’s Ulster final as Donegal face Armagh on May 10.
