One lucky punter in County Donegal is celebrating this week after scooping a tasty four-figure sum thanks to just three Lotto numbers.
The anonymous punter placed the winning wager in a BoyleSports shop in the county for Tuesday evening’s main EuroMillions draw, investing just €4 on the trio of numbers coming out.
They were left hoping for numbers 13, 24 and 31 to roll out and in the blink of an eye they all appeared, instantly beating odds of 1,500/1.
The stroke of good fortune allowed them to return to the shop to collect a grand total of €6,004.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said the rewards can be significant even from modest stakes on the Lotto.
“We have to applaud our Donegal customer who proved it on Tuesday night with a tidy profit of €6,000.
“We hope the winnings help with the Christmas shopping in the coming weeks!,” he said.
