Donegal prove much too strong for Monaghan in ‘Blayney

Monaghan 0-11 Donegal 4-14

Donegal are through to the Dr McKenna Cup Final after they proved much too strong for a weakened Monaghan side in Castleblyaney today.

Donegal were totally dominant in the first half and Oisin Gallen scored 2-4, while Odhran Doherty hit the net as well.

They also spurned a couple of other goal chances but were still 3-9 to 0-3 up at half-time.

Ronan Frain netted on his debut in the second half, while Karl Joseph Molloy also scored two frees in his first senior appearance.

Donegal will now take on Derry in the McKenna Cup Final next Saturday.
