Defiance isn’t an attitude that is easily tapped into, but the Donegal players are going to have to find it for their crunch encounter against Mayo this weekend.
The pressure is on and Donegal are most certainly in danger of losing their Division 1 status.
A defeat, and unfavourable results elsewhere could render the final game against Roscommon meaningless, with Paddy Carr’s men being already doomed.

They will want to go to the Hyde on Sunday week with at least a fighting chance of survival.
Donegal have been relegated before both in Jim McGuinness’s reign and during Declan Bonner’s time but the landscape has changed now.
