TWO Donegal artists are to feature in a bold new Irish-language music series which is set to shake up the music scene with fresh collaborations, daring reinventions and unforgettable live performances.
Casadh sa Cheol is a six-part television series for TG4 that challenges artists from dramatically different musical worlds to swap and reinterpret each other’s most cherished tracks, culminating in a powerful, one-off performance filmed live at The Belfast Barge, an intimate floating venue in the heart of Belfast.
Emma Ní Fhíoruisce will feature on the first episode alongside Grooveline from Leitrim and Eve Belle will feature on episode 6 alongside Na Tonnta from Dublin.

The first episode airs on TG4 on Sunday, March 8 at 8pm.
At the start of each episode, the artists hear each other’s song for the first time before spending just two days rehearsing and reinterpreting the sound to suit their own style. From sean-nós to electropop, punk to folk, Casadh sa Cheol sees two artists dive into each other’s creative space, pushing their sound, identity and comfort zones.
They don’t meet until the day of the performance, moments before they step on stage, in front of a live audience and each other.

Produced and directed by Caoimhe Ní Chathail and Aideen Hand, Casadh sa Cheol aims to bring a fresh Irish-language perspective to music television, combining deep-rooted tradition with contemporary creativity.
Casadh sa Cheol was produced by a disabled-led production company, Triplevision Productions and supported by Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund for TG4.
