Donegal Minors defeat Derry in Celtic Park

Derry 0-8 Donegal 0-12

Donegal are through to the semi-finals of the Tier 2 Minor Championship after they got the better of Derry at a damp Celtic Park this afternoon.

Barry Ward’s Donegal had the better of the first half and led by 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time with Jack Gallagher scoring two super points.

Derry started Act Two brightly but scores from Cathal MacAoidh, Shane Sweeney, Odhran Ryan and Tomas Carr meant Donegal were 0-10 to 0-7 ahead with fifty minutes played.

Shane Sweeney and Thomas Lenehan followed up with points before Don Mulholland concluded the scoring for Derry.
