The Donegal minor ladies team got their Championship campaign off to a fine start, defeating Armagh by seven points in Downings in Saturday afternoon.
Act One was a finely balanced affair but it was the Orchard County side that held the advantage at the break, leading by 0-6-0-4, with Clara Rose Boyle (3) and Orla Ward getting on the score sheet for the hosts.

However, Declan McDermott’s outfit were much the better side after the restart.
The limited their opponents to just one point in the second stanza while converting 1-7 at the other end of the pitch.
Full-forward Caoimhe Gallagher fired home a superb major ten minutes into the half to help set her side on their way to an impressive victory.
