Donegal Masters comfortably win All-Ireland Plate title

Donegal 0-12 London 0-5

The Donegal Masters were full value for their win over London in the All-Ireland Plate final in Breffni Park on Saturday.

Francie Martin’s men took a while to get going and were 0-2 to 0-0 down after 22 minutes as Kilcar native Michael Molloy hit two frees for the Exiles.

But two points each from Damien Browne, Stephen Coyle and Eunan Keaveney, along with one from Shaun Maguire put them 0-7 to 0-2 ahead at the break.

Man of the Match  Nigel McMonagle added two points after the restart as London lost Paul McDermott to a red card.

Maguire, Keaveney and Browne all added a point each in the final ten minutes to keep their opponents at bay and record a fully deserving win in the final of the third tier competition.
