The Donegal senior footballers now have a better idea of who they may be playing in their round-robin group after the draw for the All-Ireland Series took place in Croke Park today.
If Jim McGuinness’s team win the Ulster Championship, they will take on the team beaten in the Munster Final (Kerry or Clare), Tyrone and Cork.
If Donegal are beaten by Armagh in the provincial decider, they will square off against the Connacht winners (Mayo or Galway), Derry and Westmeath.
Donegal’s first game will be on May 25/26 while they will be at away on the June Bank Holiday weekend before concluding their group on neutral territory on June 16/17.
The groups for the All-Ireland Series is as follows:
Group 1: Connacht champions, Ulster runner up, Derry, Westmeath.
Group 2: Leinster champions, Connacht runner up, Roscommon, Cavan.
Group 3: Ulster champions, Munster runner up, Tyrone, Cork
Group 4: Munster champions, Leinster runner up, Monaghan, Meath.
