Donegal 0-8 Cork 1-8
Donegal ladies ended their league campaign with a loss to an impressive and already promoted Cork side in Fr Tierney Park.
James Daly’s side had a slow start and as Aine O’Sullivan hit for goal after four minutes, they soon found themselves 1-6 to 0-2 down after 15 minutes.
Susanne White kicked three of Donegal’s four scores in the opening half with Katie Dowds getting the other as they trailed by 1-7 to 0-4 at the break, Katie Quirke hitting four points for the visitors.
But Donegal battled well and three more White scores along with one from Jodie McFadden reduced the deficit as they kept Cork to one score in the second half.
There wouldn’t be a comeback however as Cork did well retaining possession and held on to win by three points.
