The Donegal ladies are aiming to top their group in the Ladies Senior Championship this Saturday when they take on Kerry at Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon (throw-in, 3pm).
The team managed by Damian Devaney and Maxi Curran are already through to the quarter-finals after defeating Tipperary last week, but there is a big incentive to win their second match, and avoid a clash with Dublin in the next round.
Devaney feels his team are in a healthy position at present, and they want to keep winning matches.
“We’re in a good place and we’re pushing for the top spot,” said Devaney.
“We are unbeaten since we played Mayo in the league, and we have come through the Ulster Championship in good form.
“We had a really tough match against Tipperary and were pleased to come through that after a five week lay-off.
“The Tipperary manager was interviewed after the match and he was delighted with how they played and said they had never played as well.
“So that shows how gutsy our girls were to still go and get the win.
“We’re into the quarter-finals now, but we want to go and top the group.”
