Donegal jeweller backs made local campaign

A DONEGAL jewellery designer is backing a local campaign to support the growth of Ireland’s sustainable design and craft industry.

Hannah McGuinness is helping to raise awareness by supporting supporting Design and Crafts Council Ireland’s (DCCI) Made Local campaign.

The Glenties jewellery designer produces contemporary one off and limited-edition jewellery pieces. Her work focuses on the interplay between form, texture and colour, and is sculptural and individual in style.

DCCI’s Made Local initiative highlights the originality, quality and value of Irish designed and craft-made products.

It is a reminder to people that buying locally produced, well-crafted products is much more meaningful, sustainable, and impactful.

Made Local encourages consumers to consider their purchases carefully and make mindful buying decisions in choosing beautiful, high quality, sustainable products from designers and craft makers in Ireland.

For a full list of Irish craft and design makers and retailers participating in Made Local 2024, visit DCCI’s online directory at www.madelocal.ie where consumers can search for makers and the products they want, by location.
