Donegal Tourism Ltd in association with Donegal County Council is delighted to launch 2016 promotion of County Donegal along with a team of tourism providers from across the county at the Holiday World Shows in Belfast and Dublin.
As part of the 2016 marketing activities in the county, County Donegal is going to be represented in the upcoming Holiday World Show events taking place over two consecutive weekends in Belfast, 15th – 17th January and in Dublin, 22nd – 24th January.
The Holiday World Shows are two of the most significant tourism travel shows in Europe that take place in January each year with visitors attending from around the world including Europe (including UK and ROI), the Middle East, Asia and America. Both shows offer opportunities for exhibitors to participate in extensive online and offline marketing campaigns to coincide with the promotions e.g. TV, radio, print, direct mail, social media and much more. This will ensure Donegal’s marketing activities will be high impact and results-driven. With over 20k visitors expected to attend the show in Belfast and over 40k visitors due to come to Dublin, the Holiday World Shows offer Donegal Tourism Ltd and tourism providers a fantastic opportunity to kick off the 2016 season by reaching out to over 50% European target market including the UK and ROI.
This collaborative initiative is led by Donegal Tourism Ltd in association with Donegal County Council who approached the tourism trade in Donegal to offer them the opportunity to come to both shows as part of this unique group promotion of the County. Various tourism providers have come on board to represent and promote their respected areas incl. Discover Bundoran, Donegal Community Chamber, Killybegs, Donegal Airport, Letterkenny Tourism and Inishowen Tourism. It is hoped that a coordinated approach will create much more consistent image of the county. Both events create a wonderful platform for the local Tourism Providers to work in a partnership to help promote Donegal as a destination for the benefit of the whole county.
