Donegal hurlers defeat London to achieve promotion

Donegal 2-26 London 1-16

Donegal ensured themselves of a place in Division Two for next season with a comprehensive win over London in O’Donnell Park.

London led by 0-6 to 0-5 after 15 minutes before Mickey McCann’s side flew ahead, hitting eight points in-a-row to lead by six at the break.

Oisin Grant and Liam McKinney added goals in the second half, while Gerard Gilmore top scored with 13 points.

The new restructuring of the hurling divisions meant that a top three finish would see Donegal promoted and as they finished second, they now have a home semi-final against Tyrone.
