Donegal Hospice is to host an Open Afternoon as part of Palliative Care Week.
The afternoon open event at the Hospice will provide attendees with the opportunity to explore various aspects of palliative care, including the services provided by the hospice, the dedicated team of healthcare professionals, and the available resources and support systems.
Donegal Hospice, located at Knocknamona, Letterkenny, F92 VX81 is inviting people along on Wednesday, September 13th from 2 pm to 4 pm.
There will also be a chance to call to an information pop-up stand at Letterkenny Shopping Centre and McElhinney’s in Ballybofey on Friday September 15 from 11 am – 3 pm.
All members of the community, including healthcare professionals, patients, families, and interested individuals are invited to attend the event at the Hospice to learn more about the invaluable services offered by the hospice.
Palliative Care Week, which runs from the 10th to the 16th of September is observed annually and serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about the vital role palliative care plays in relieving pain and improving the quality of life for patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Catherine Regan, Director Of Nursing at Donegal Hospice & Palliative Care Services said, “We are excited to open our doors and welcome the community to Donegal Hospice during Palliative Care Week. We hope to educate and inform the public about the importance of palliative care and how it can make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families,” said Ms Regan.
