Emer Gallagher says that she and her Donegal ladies team-mates are looking forward to getting a crack at reigning All-Ireland football champions Dublin.
Maxi Curran’s girls will face the four-in-a-row chasing Dubs as well as Waterford in the round-robin phase of the restructured 2020 Championship.
Last year’s senior semi-finalists Galway, Cork, Galway and the Dubs are all seeded and have been kept apart for the pool phase.
The LGFA Championships are to take place across seven weekends throwing in from 17 October with dates to be released in due course.
It might well be a group setting, But Gallagher knows that only a victory will do in their Championship opener, against the best side in the country, if they’re to avoid elimination.
