The number of Covid-19 cases in Donegal now stands at 468, following another rise.
Latest figures released this evening reveal there have been a total of 468 cases of the virus in the county since the onset of the pandemic.
This week, that figure – the cumulative total since March – has risen by three. This is the fith increase in the last 50 days.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health has this evening confirmed that one more person who previously contracted Covid-19 has passed away. Twenty five new cases have been detected.
There have been 1,744 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireand and 25,589 confirmed cases of the virus in the country.
Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ronan Glynn, Department of Health, has urged people to exercise caution.
“This weekend, we all have an opportuntiy to exercise, socialise and enjoy life in a safe and responsible way.
“Continue to protect each other using public health advice and encourage each other to make safe choices as we work together to limit the spread of Covid-19. We have all achieved so much through solidarity over the last few months, that effort must not be in vain.”
