Donegal 2-14 Cork 1-7
Donegal moved to the top of Division 1 following a comprehensive victory over Cork in Fr Tierney Park on Sunday.
Rory Gallagher’s team raced into a 1-4 to 0-0 lead with Martin O’Reilly scoring the goal. Cork hit back with a three-pointer from Donal Og Hodnett and they reduced their deficit to just a single point. However, Donegal finished the half strongly and led by six at the interval.
The home side continued to dominate in the second half and the excellent Odhrán MacNiallais grabbed a second goal. Donegal closed the game out at their ease and go into the two-week break in a very healthy position.
