Armagh 0-13 Donegal 0-10
Donegal fell to a third National Football League defeat when they were beaten by Armagh in the Athletic Grounds this evening.
Paddy Carr’s men were second best in the first half and a sharper Armagh deserved to be 0-7 to 0-3 ahead at half-time.
Donegal improved at the start of the second half with Hugh McFadden causing problems and they got back to within one point after fifty minutes.
Armagh steadied up and scored three on the trot and that put them in a commanding position once again.
Shaun Patton made a great save from Andrew Murnin to keep Donegal alive, and they showed character with Ciaran Thompson, Jamie Brennan and Jason McGee all scoring.
Peadar Mogan saw a shot blocked down, but Armagh stayed strong in injury-time and points from Rian O’Neill and Jarly Óg Burns saw them pick up the precious league points.
Donegal remain under pressure in Division 1 but they still have games against Mayo and Roscommon to try and secure survival.
