DONEGAL gained most IDA backed jobs in the five years from 2007 to 2011 and is one of just six counties which remained in a plus position, according to figures from the Minister for Enterprise released this week.
In 2011 the net gain figure for foreign direct investment in the county was 205 with more than 5,300 people in the north west region employed in this sector.
During the five-year period Donegal saw an increase of 11 per cent in IDA jobs which at 1,870 made it the highest gain in the country.
