Donegal 1-13 Meath 0-14

Donegal produced an excellent second half comeback to defeat Meath at a chilly MacCumhaill Park tonight.

Meath had the better of the first half and they led by 0-8 to 0-7 at half-time, despite four points from Ciaran Thompson.

Niall O’Donnell levelled matters after the restart, but Meath kicked the next four points.

It wasn’t looking good for Declan Bonner’s team with 12 minutes to go, but then they got a lucky break when Caolan McGonagle forced the ball to the net.

Ciaran Thompson levelled proceedings, and late points from Eoin McHugh and Jamie Brennan sealed the victory.
