TWELVE years have passed since Martin McGuinness left behind the bright lights of London and immersed himself in rural life following the death of his father Frank.
Having been left the family farm in Meenarillagh, three miles outside Ardara, Martin (48) cast aside the stilettos and flamboyant frocks, replacing them with wellington boots and dungarees.
Now the drag queen and female impersonator has decided that it’s time for Miss Scarlett Rose, the glamorous drag persona of Martin McGuinness, to take to the stage in Dublin.
“I was stuck in a rut. I’ve given farming my best shot since I came home from London, but now it’s time to concentrate on me and doing something that I’m good at. There’s no time for regrets.
