Donegal 0-21 Queen’s University Belfast 0-11
Donegal got their season off to a winning start as they defeated Queen’s University, Belfast in their opening Dr McKenna Cup game in MacCumhaill Park today.
Declan Bonner’s men led by 0-13 to 0-5 at half-time, with Ciaran Thompson and Michael Langan both scoring three points apiece. The returning Eoin McHugh also landed a brace.
Queen’s improved at the start of the second half but points from Lorcan Connor and Paul Brennan kept the home side eight ahead after 50 minutes.
Donegal closed the game out comfortably with Thompson, Connor, and Langan all on target. Bonner’s team take on Down in their second game in McKenna Cup next Sunday.
