WITHIN the first two hours of National Slow Down Day a Donegal driver was detected as having one of the highest speeds recorded nationally.
The Donegal motorist was detected travelling 113km/hr in an 80km/hr zone on the R245 at Cashelshanaghan in Letterkenny.
A garda spokesperson said: We continue to appeal to drivers to comply with speed limits in order to reduce the number of speed related collisions, save lives and reduce injuries on our roads.”
