Donegal 1-25 Derry 1-15
Donegal got their Ulster campaign off to a flyer with a nine point win over Derry in MacCumhaill Park.
With a breeze in their favour, it took Donegal a while to get going and they owed Shaun Patton for a brilliant double save for a penalty.
At 0-5 apiece, Daire Ó Baoill kicked two super two pointers as Paddy McBrearty and Michael Murphy added frees to go six ahead.
Derry halved that deficit with a goal from Dan Higgins but Ó Baoill responded with a goal of his own.
