Donegal 0-18 Tyrone 0-16 AET
Donegal had to dig deep to come through a gruelling extra-time tussle with Tyrone at Celtic Park and book their spot in the Ulster Final.
Jim McGuinness’s Donegal had to line out without Shaun Patton and it proved to be a defensive tussle.
The sides were level at five points apiece after 22 minutes but Tyrone landed the final three scores of the first half.
Tyrone led by 0-8 to 0-5 at the break but Donegal rallied in the second half and they were able to get back on level terms but not in front.
It looked like the Red Hands would win until Brendan McCole fired over an equaliser in the 73rd minute to take the game to extra-time.
Donegal edged the first half of additional time with Jeaic Mac Ceallabhuí, Patrick McBrearty, and Shane O’Donnell all on target.
McGuinness’s men missed chances to kill off the match before McBrearty sealed the win with a superb score in the 91st minute.
Donegal will now take on Armagh in the provincial decider in a fortnight’s time.
