The Donegal senior footballers made a winning start to their NFL Division 1 campaign with a hard-fought victory over Dublin in MacCumhaill Park today.
Daire Ó Baoill was outstanding in the first half, scoring a brace of two-pointers, and Jim McGuinness’s team were 0-11 to 0-6 up at the break.

Dublin were lively in the second half with the breeze supporting them and reduced their deficit to one.
However, Donegal finished strongly with Oisin Gallen and Patrick McBrearty to the fore and they deservedly claimed the spoils on offer.
