AN exhibition entitled ‘One of a kind’ by Donegal Design Makers opens at the Gordon Gallery in Derry on Friday, November 9.
The gallery, located on Pump Street, will host the exhibition until November 24 and will feature ceramics, furniture, jewellery and textiles by Donegal Designer Makers.
Donegal Designer Makers was established in 2008 by members of the Donegal Crafts Guild with the objective of promoting the work of local designers and crafts workers across the county.
Chaired by jewellery maker Hannah McGuinness, the group has grown rapidly and now has over 30 members.
This exhibition will see ten of those members exhibiting their work which will be largely conceptual in nature.
Artists featured are Noel Cronin (furniture), Martin Gallagher (furniture), Sarah Gavigan (jewellery), Martina Hamilton (ceramics), Karen O’Kane (textiles), Brian McGee (ceramics), Hannah McGuinness (jewellery), Sharon McGinley, Michael Parkinson (furniture) and Emmet Rock (product designer).
