DONEGAL 3-17 GALWAY 1-17
By Chris McNulty
COLM McFadden sparkled on Monday night in an inter-county challenge as Donegal recorded a high-scoring win over Galway in Tourlestrane.
The St Michael’s man hit 1-6 as Donegal overcame the Tribesmen in another useful workout for Rory Gallagher’s charges. McFadden had yet to find his form in the National League, but here he was on fire.
St Naul’s man Stephen Griffin, who has returned from Australia and rejoined the county squad, came off the bench to score 1-1, while Willie Gillespie of Naomh Colmcille also struck 1-1 as a sub and Gary McFadden notched a handful of points from centre-forward.
David Walsh continued his recovery from injury with a second-half appearance.
