Donegal 1-23 Louth 0-18
Donegal have qualified for their first All-Ireland semi-final in ten years after they recorded a comfortable victory over Louth in Croke Park today.
Donegal played some good football in the first half with Ciaran Moore, Oisin Gallen, and Peadar Mogan all in fine form, although they weren’t as sharp at the back as they would have liked.
HT: Donegal 0-11 Louth 0-8
Jim McGuinness’s men were able to push their lead out to seven with Gallen, Mogan, and Michael Langan to the fore but Louth got back to four points by the 58th minute.
Donegal then rattled the net with Eoghan ‘Ban’ Gallagher raising a green flag on his 100th appearance.
The gaps started to appear as Louth tired late on and the outstanding Mogan helped himself to two more points while Ciaran Thompson and Jamie Brennan were also on the mark.
Donegal will now advance to the All-Ireland semi-finals in two weeks’ time.
