Donegal County Council launch Social Inclusion week

DONEGAL County Council are set to launch Social Inclusion Week at An Grianan Theatre, on Saturday, March 25 at 1.30pm.

A festival of colour will follow the launch which will be hosted by the Letterkenny Indian Community.

This Colour Festival will be a family event for everyone where you will make unforgettable memories.

Social Inclusion Week is a series of events organised throughout the county to increase awareness and understanding of inclusion and diversity in County Donegal.

Cybercrime awareness will be highlighted at each event during the week with a focus on the 4 P’s PASSWORD, PERMISSIONS, PAYMENT, PARTICIPANTS.

A ‘Lets Play’ family event with Donegal Sports Partnership will take place in the Bernard McGlinchey Town Park in Letterkenny on Sunday, March 26 from 10am to 2pm.

Donegal Community Garden Network Spring Gathering will be hosted by DLDC in the Vestry in Letterkenny on Monday, March 27 from 11am to 1pm.

Donegal Older Persons Council are holding their Annual General Meting and health and wellbeing event in the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny on Tuesday, March 28 from 10am to 2pm.

Woodlands for Wellbeing Walk in Swan Park, Buncrana or Drumboe Woods in Stranorlar will take place on Wednesday, March 29 at 11am. This is a great opportunity to meet new people while learning more about the environment.

A pathways to progress workshop will take place in the IDP Buncrana Office on Thursday, March 30 from 10am to 12:30pm.

Start your day by dropping in for a coffee in the Courtyard Shopping Centre Letterkenny on Friday, March 31 from 10am to 1pm, where you can meet people, share stories and integrate.

You can then go to the Regional Cultural Centre to a learn about culture in Ireland and Donegal from Keith Corcoran, hosted by Donegal Volunteer Centre and Donegal County Council.

A Diversity Showcase will be held in An Grianan Theatre on Saturday, April 1 at 3pm, where an afternoon of fun, culture, music, dance and fashion will take place.
