Donegal artists feature on new homeless charity album

Two talented artists from Donegal, Moya Brennan and Carol Wilson, are featured on the newly released charity album ‘Kindness on the Streets’.

This album, which aims to raise awareness and funds for Belfast’s homeless charity, The People’s Kitchen, includes contributions from both national and international musical stars.

Notable artists such as Ralph McTell, Mary Black, Frances Black, Rumer, and Damien Dempsey, among others, have lent their voices to this heartfelt project.

‘Kindness on the Streets’ was created by The People’s Kitchen, a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges.

The album’s structure reflects this duality, with songs on one “side” portraying the struggles faced by homeless individuals, including themes of addiction and loneliness. The other “side” celebrates the compassion and solidarity found among volunteers and those they serve.

All 20 tracks were carefully selected in collaboration with the contributing artists, who generously donated their time and talents.

The album is available for download on Bandcamp for £10.00, with all proceeds going directly to support The People’s Kitchen’s ongoing work with Belfast’s most vulnerable communities.
