It has been a remarkable turnaround for St Michael’s in the space of 12 months, but defender Stephen Doak felt they were never that far away.
The Creeslough/Dunfanaghy side only collected one point out of a possible eight in the group phase last year and ended up in the relegation play-offs.
They managed to save themselves of course and have been rejuvenated this year.
