DONEGAL’S first ever outdoor dance festival will take place in Letterkenny this Bank Holiday Sunday.

International Superstar DJ Sonny Fodera will headline the first Outhouse @ The Marquee in the grounds of The Old Orchard Inn next Sunday. Flying in from WE ARE FSTVL London, the renowned DJ will be joined by special guests, Donegal’s own Superstar DJ Reuben Keeney, fellow Letterkenny men Tony Watters and Gary Collins, Fresh FM’s Jason Young, iRadio’s Justiy plus many more.

Signed to Defected Records, Fodera is one of the hottest dance acts in the world right now with a monthly Ibiza Residency and full European/US Tour to come this year.

Organisers said Sonny is delighted to be playing his first north-west show this Bank Holiday Sunday and promises to bring a little bit of Ibiza to Letterkenny.

Although the event was the brainchild of Reuben Keeney, the well-known DJ said it took a real community effort to make the festival happen.
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do and then just took the bull by the horns, but it only came together so quickly through the hard work of all involved.”

Reuben said getting such a world-renowned DJ as Sonny Fodera to headline the Letterkenny dance festival was a real coup.

“Sonny will be coming straight from a massive festival in London and the next day he is flying to tour around the US for a month, so we are really lucky to get him. Especially around this time of year the big DJs are really busy,” he said.

On a personal note, Reuben said he is also very much looking forward to taking to the decks on the day, but also getting a chance to spend time with friends from the dance scene.

The Letterkenny man said the event would a ‘tester’. “If this event goes well, I would definitely love to see it getting bigger and better and becoming an annual event.”

There will also be live coverage on the day by Highland Radio with another top Donegal dance act, Timmy and Tommy, aka Full Tilt, hosting their show from The Orchard.

Tickets are now available online from the An Grianán Theatre Box Office on Tel 07491 20777, (€15 + bf) and in-store at all Four Lanterns Letterkenny Restaurants across Donegal. Gates open at 4pm. See Facebook: ‘Outhouse Letterkenny’.
