Roscommon 0-21 Donegal 0-9
Dismal Donegal concluded their National League campaign with a very poor showing against Roscommon at Dr Hyde Park today
After Paddy Carr resigned as manager on Wednesday, a good response from Donegal was expected but it didn’t materialise.
There was a fast tempo to the first half and Donegal were 0-6 to 0-5 down after 14 minutes.
However, they tailed off after that and Roscommon dominated the second quarter.
HT: Roscommon 0-12 Donegal 0-7
It was all too easy for the Rossies and they outscored their opponents by nine points to two in the second half.
The defeat confirms Donegal’s relegation to Division 2, and it will be hard to pick things up for their Ulster Championship opener against Down in four weeks’ time.
