TWO junior players from the Northwest snooker club Letterkenny travelled to Wales yesterday with the Irish snooker team to compete in the 2016 Celtic challenge.
Both Sean Devenney and Ronan Whyte have had a long year trying to qualify for this team event with Sean finishing second in the rankings and Ronan third.
The pair also will be going to the home International series in Leeds in August.
Before that though they hope that they can return with the trophy they helped win in 2014 on Welsh soil but were outplayed last year when a very strong Welsh team beat them to reclaim the title.
The club wishes them the best of luck and hopefully we’ll see the trophy back on Irish soil this year……
