There were devastation for Joe Boyle and his Tooreen team as they were defeated in the All-Ireland Club Intermediate Hurling Final at Croke Park today.
The Mayo side gave it their all on the day but lost out to Upperchurch Drombane by 4-20 to 2-24 after extra-time.
Boyle was one of the best players on the field and scored three points from wing-back in normal time.

It looked like Tooreen were going to win the match but a super free late on from Gavin Ryan brought the game to extra-time.
Upperchurch Drombane started the additional twenty minutes strongly and moved ten points clear but Tooreen fought to the final whistle.
They got back to within two points but it wasn’t to be and they had to settle for defeat once more in Croker.
