Eddie Dsane saw his goalbound shot blocked in the second half, while Rory Patterson and Eoin Toal missed opportunities for Derry.

It looked like the game was going to finish scoreless until Derry struck for their opener in the 87th minute. Harps failed to deal with Nicky Low’s corner and Cole made no mistake from close range.

The Candystripes secured all three points deep into injury-time when Aaron McEneff rounded Ciaran Gallagher and fired to the net.
