Derry City have confirmed that Ronan Boyce has left the club following the end of his current contract.
The Donegal man came through the academy at the Brandywell, having joined the club in 2017, and has gone on to play 175 times for the Candystripes.
During this spell, he found the back of the net 16 times and also played a key part in the club’s 2022 FAI Cup triumph.
Speaking about Boyce’s departure, Derry City manager Tiernan Lynch said, “Ronan is the type of player that gives you everything when he pulls on the shirt and we know how much this club means to him.
“He goes about his work without any fuss and is a really popular lad among the players, staff and very much aming our supporters as well.
“From a personal perspective I want to thank Ronan for all his efforts since I came here and to wish him every success in his career going forward.”
