Vacant Carrigart building burgled and graffitied

GARDAÍ are investigating after a vacant Carrigart building was burgled and graffiti sprayed on the inside of the property.

The burglary at ‘The Old Rectory’ occurred sometime between Wednesday, June 5 and Wednesday, June 12.

A window of the building was smashed. Entry is believed to have been gained through another boarded up window. Graffiti was sprayed inside the vacant building but nothing was stolen.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity around the Rectory between the above dates to make contact with Gardaí in Milford on (074) 9153060. The Garda Confidential line may be reached with information on 1800 666 111.
