Dense fog warning issued

A DENSE fog warning will be in place in Donegal over the weekend which is expected to cause poor visibility for motorists.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow warning with “dense fog forming in many areas, lingering through the day in some places. Patches of freezing fog too, poor visibility and hazardous travelling conditions,” the forecaster warned.

The warning will be in place from 5pm today (Friday) until 12pm pm on Sunday.

A yellow warning for low temperatures and ice will also be in place between those times. Met Éireann said there will be “very cold day and night time temperatures with frost and ice persisting in many areas.”
