Donegal got off to a slow start, but two Karen Guthrie scores helped them to draw level by the 16th minute.

Things were going well for Damian Devaney and Maxi Curran’s team at that point, but Cork soon upped the ante and they pushed ahead after Orla Finn hit the net.

Guthrie blazed a goal chance over the bar for Donegal and they trailed by four at the break.

Geradline McLaughlin hit form in the third quarter, and she landed a brace to bring the deficit back to a goal.

However, Donegal tired in the closing exchanges, and Cork secured their spot in the decider when Saoirse Noonan scored a late goal.
