Donegal were beaten by old foes Tyrone in their All-Ireland Group 1 opener at MacCumhaill Park this evening.

Donegal battled back and a brace of two-pointers from Michael Murphy helped them level by the 30th minute.
Tyrone pushed three ahead again before Michael Langan had the final say of the first half.

The Red Hands were able to push five ahead after that but two-pointers from Murphy and Langan kept Donegal in contention.
Langan was outstanding and got Donegal back level before Patrick McBrearty pushed them two ahead in the 62nd minute.
However, Donegal failed to score again after that as Tyrone took control of their kick-out.
They drew level before Peter Harte landed a fantastic two-pointer and Cormac Quinn then sealed the win with the insurance score at the death.
Donegal had to settle for defeat and are back in action against Cavan next Sunday.
