Henry Patterson, Dunfanaghy

The death has occurred of Henry Patterson, Cloonmass, Dunfanaghy.

Mr Patterson passed away peacefully in The Donegal Hospice on Monday, October 6.

Beloved husband of Anne, much loved father of Louise and Daisy, father-in-law of Andy, dear brother of the late Stephen Patterson, treasured son-in-law and brother-in-law and cherished member of the extended family.

The wake will take place on Thursday, October 9, from 11 am to 9 pm – all are welcome.

Funeral Service will be held in the Presbyterian Church, Dunfanaghy, F92 RR44 on Friday, October 10 at 10.30 am.

Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Co Cavan at 4 pm.

Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to The Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or James Harkin, Funeral Director, Creeslough.

Sheila Kane, Westmeath and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Sheila Kane (née Davis), Adamstown, Castletown, Geoghegan, Co Westmeath and formerly of Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.

Ms Kane passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after an illness bravely borne on Monday, October 6.

Predeceased by her parents, beloved husband (Danny), her son Sean and sister Eileen.

Sheila will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken family, daughter Sharon (Corcoran), sons Danny, Liam and Michael, brother Keith, son-in-law Ger, daughters-in-law Helen, Anna-Marie and Donna, sisters-in-law Pauline, Annie and Phyllis, her adored and cherished grandchildren, notable Ciara and Aoife, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her daughter Sharon’s residence in Adamstown Castletown Geoghegan (N91 HN15) on Wednesday, October 8 from 4pm to 7pm.

House private thereafter.

Sheila’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12noon in St Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon Co Donegal, Post Code F94 PF53 with burial afterward in adjoining cemetery.

Sheila’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this sad time.

Family flowers only donation in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society.

Mary B Ferry, Derrybeg

The death has occurred of Mary B Ferry (née Boyd), Lower Brinalack, Derrybeg.

Ms Ferry passed away at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, October 7.

Predeceased by her husband Brianaí, parents; Máire Rua and Joe, sisters; Sarah and Maggie, nephew Ned and dear friend Bríd Mhicí.

Sady missed by her sons; Danny Rua and Éamonn, daughter-in-law Maire, grandchildren; Brían, Órlaith, Conall and Eimear and extended family & friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) today, Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm, with rosary at 8pm and again on Thursday from 1pm to 5.30 pm.

Removal afterwards to Teach Pobail Cholmcille, Cnoc Fola for 6pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 10, at 11am in Teach Pobail Cholmcille, Cnoc Fola (F92 D586), burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Tommy Connors, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Tommy Connors, Neil T Blaney Road, Letterkenny.

Mr Connors tragically passed away on Friday, October 3.

Predeceased by his parents Micky and Martina and his three brothers.

Sadly missed by his entire family circle.
Tommy’s remains will be reposing in Eternal Light Chapel of rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, (F92 XE35) on Wednesday, October 8 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm followed by removal to Saint Eunan’s Cathedral, to arrive at 6pm and repose overnight.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Thursday morning, October 9 followed by interment in Leck cemetery.

Gretta Sweeney, Dunfanaghy

The death has occurred of Gretta Sweeney, Asheen, Kill, Dunfanaghy and formerly of Main Street, Falcarragh.

Ms Sweeney passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6.

Predeceased by her parents Cassie and Michael, her brothers John, Maurice, Terry, Michael and her sister Chrissie.

Sadly missed by her loving sister Mary McAuliffe and her many nieces and nephews.

Requiem Mass in Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy on Wednesday, October 8 at 1pm followed by burial afterwards in St Fionan’s graveyard Falcarragh.

Thomas Harley, Wicklow and Donegal

The death has occurred of Thomas Harley, Bray, Co Wicklow, New York and formerly Mullaghderg Mountain Pasture, Co Donegal.

Mr Harley passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife and best friend Kay (Catherine), his adored children Owen, Caitríona and Aoife, much loved grandchildren Amaya, Isibéal, Chloé and Tommie, son-in-law Gary, and all his extended family and friends here and across the pond.

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Wednesday, October 8 from 2pm to 4pm.

A funeral Mass will take place in St Peter’s Church, Little Bray on Thursday, October 9 at 12noon, followed by burial in Springfield Cemetery.

Teresa Gallagher, Glenties

The death has occurred of Teresa Gallagher, 71 Ard Connell, Glenties.

Ms Gallagher passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs on Monday, October 6.

Sadly missed by her niece Mary Teresa Lawne (John), nephew’s Connie Bennett (Sally), Gerry Bennett RIP (Anne), grandnieces and grandnephews, friends and neighbours.

Requiem Mass in St Connell’s Church on Wednesday, October 8 at 11am with burial afterwards in local cemetery.

Violet Phillips, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Violet Phillips (née Carberry), Ellesmere Court, Dinglei Coush, Bundoran.

Ms Phillips passed away peacefully in the excellent care of all at Arás Mhic Suibhné Nursing Home, Laghey on Thursday, October 2.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Martha Carberry and her beloved husband Jack Phillips.

Forever remembered, loved and sadly missed by her brothers Johnnie, Jim, Frank and Eric, her sisters-in-law Bearl, Mollie and Jen and all her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and extended family and friends, especially all in Arás Mhic Suibhné.

Removal from Breslin’s Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran at 10.40am on Wednesday, October 8 to arrive at the Church of Ireland, Bundoran for a Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance for the life of Violet at 11am.

Removal afterwards to Finner Graveyard, Bundoran for a service of interment.

Eileen McDermott, Roscommon and Clonmany

The death took place on Friday, September 26 of Eileen McDermott (née Doherty), Birmingham, UK, late of Scrine, Rahara, Co Roscommon and formerly of Clonmany.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband, Frank, daughter, Nicola, son, Francis, grandsons, William, Rory and Ellis, granddaughter, Clementine, daughter-in-law, Hannah, brothers, Colm and Bernard, sister, Mary Frances, nieces, nephews,relatives, neighbours and friends.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents, Barney and Madge.

Reposing at Hamrock’s Funeral Home, Athleague (F42CC92) on Thursday, October 9 from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to Church of Mary Immaculate, Rahara.

Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, October 10 at 11am with burial afterwards in Rahara Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be live-streamed.

Bridget Lennon, London and Bruckless

The death has taken place of Bridget (Breege) Lennon (née McNern), Winchmore Hill, London and formerly “Church View”, Bruckless.

She died peacefully, with her family by her side.

Bridget was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Maggie McNern.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by husband, Matty, daughter, Sharon, sons, Mark and Barry, daughters-in-law, Maxine and Sophy.

Bridget was the much adored grandmother of James, Ellie, Jack, Matthew, Bea and Molly, brothers Brian, Sean, Jim, Martin.

She is also survived by her sisters Margaret and Geraldine, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, dear friend Nanda and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and London.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 16 at St. Monica’s Church, Stonard Road, Palmers Green, London N13 4DJ.

Funeral Mass can be viewed on the St. Monica’s webcam.

Mass will be celebrated in Bruckless on Wednesday, October 8 at 7pm.
