 Paul McHugh, Convoy

The death has occurred of Paul McHugh, 1 Carraig Court, Convoy.

Mr McHugh passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday, November 26.

Predeceased by his father Colm, mother Vera and brother Columba.

Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife Debbie, daughters Ciara (Mark), Megan (Richard), son Niall and grandson Caomhàn.

Much loved brother of Gerard (Violet), Ann (Danny), Maresa (Dermot) and sister in law Melanie (Gary).

Remains reposing at his late residence from Thursday, November 28 from 11am until rosary at 9pm, with family time after and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Friday, November 29 at 10.30am for 11am requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church Convoy with burial afterwards in the family plot in the Old graveyard.

Anne Reardon, Clonmany, Tipperary and Dublin

The death has taken place of Anne Reardon (née Lynch) Ballycrehane, Aherlow, Tipperary / Glasnevin, Dublin / Clonmany, Donegal.

Anne passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and her devoted twin sister at Cluain Arann Community Nursing Home, Tipperary.

Beloved wife of Liam (William) and much loved mother of John, Declan, Billy and Evelyn.

Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Bríd, Mary, Catherine and Antoinette, grandchildren Micheál, Clíona, Evan, Eoin, Nia, Kate, Max, Cara, Daniel, Muireann, Isla, Hannah, Meadhbh and William, sister-in-law Helen (Healy), brothers-in-law Michael and Lou (Reardon), Michael (Grehan), Jim (Brady) and Hugh (Durnin), nephew Cormac, niece Sinéad, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives, neighbours, and a large circle of wonderful friends.

Michael O’Shea, Donegal Town and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Michael O’Shea, Millrace Crescent, Donegal Town and formerly of Ballyshannon. Suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence.

Predeceased by his grandmother Mary Fannon, Ballyshannon and sister Samantha.

Michael will be forever remembered by his parents Sarah and Joe. He will be sadly missed by his brother Jamie, sister Katie, grandparents Barbara and John, great-grandparents Kay and Harry, his baby Corey (4 months old), girlfriend Samantha and her three children.

Michael’s remains will repose at his parents’ residence at Derrynaseer (via Ballyshannon) Co. Leitrim F94 K6C8 on Wednesday from 12 noon to 7pm.

Removal from the family home on Thursday to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon with service of cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 3pm.

Donations in memory of Michael to Donegal Emergency Rescue c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors or any family member.

Peggy McGinley, Creeslough

The peaceful death has taken place of Peggy McGinley (née McFadden), Main Street, Creeslough, surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of Michael, mother of Shaun, Marie, Michael, Danny, Brian and by their partners. Grandmother and great-grandmother, sister to Finola, Danny and Sean, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her home on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.

Funeral Mass in St Michael’s Church, Creeslough, on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in Doe Graveyard.

Hughie McGee, Ballybofey

The peaceful death has taken place of Hughie McGee, Dreenan, Ballybofey and formerly of Glenleighan, Fintown.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by his beloved wife Sarah, daughters Caroline, Catriona (Eamonn), Loretta, and his son Pauric.

Much loved brother of Kathleen Boles (New York). Devoted grandfather to Atlanta (Leon), Tyron, Tristan, Stefan, Ultan, Saorla, Connla and Tárlach, nieces and nephews.

Hughie’s remains will repose at Marley’s Funeral Home, Letterkenny on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday in St. Colmcille’s Chapel, Fintown at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

House is strictly private.

Rose Gallagher, Ardara

The death has occurred peacefully of Rose Gallagher at her daughter’s residence in Tullymore, Ardara,  formerly 26 Drumaghy Park, Ardara.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Joe. Rose will be forever missed by her daughter Rosemarie (John), sons Leo and Patrick, grandchildren Kirsty, Shauna, Ryan, Joe and Holly, great-grandchildren, Callum, Fia-Rose, Rowan, Chulainn, Danny, Mila andDarragh, nieces and nephews and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield on Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm followed by removal to the Church of The Holy Family, Ardara arriving at 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eileen Clancy, Donegal and Dublin

The death has taken place of Eileen Clancy (née Cullen), Coolock and formerly of Donegal. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Paddy) and loving mother of Kevin, Rachel, Mark, Stephen and Tanya.

Very sadly missed by her sons and daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren Chloe, Andrew, Cillian, Dani, Darci, Cúan, brothers Pat, Christopher and sister Dorothy, sister-in-law Theresa, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock on Friday, November 29 from 2pm to 4pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of St. Joseph the Artisan, Greencastle Road, Bonnybrook arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium at 12.30pm.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Dementia Ireland.

The Funeral Mass will be streamed live on Saturday morning.

Bridie Dawson, Donegal/Perrystown/Wexford

The death has occurred of Bridie Dawson (née Dodd), Donegal and formerly of Perrystown, Dublin and Cahore, Wexford.

Ms Dawson passed away on Sunday, November 24.

Bri passed over to join Dermot and Rhona.

She will be missed by her daughter Carol (Carbin), grandson Gav, son-in-law Chris, sisters Martha, Margaret and Kay, sisters-in-law Marie and Maura, brother-in-law Tony, nephews, nieces and friends.

She will specially be missed by Brendan, who has looked after Bri since Rhona passed and her carers, particularly Caroline.

Requiem Mass on Friday, November 29 in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving at 9.45am.

Funeral immediately afterwards to St. Michael’s Cremation Services Chapel within Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin A96 PW73 arriving for 11.30am Cremation Service.

 Phonsie Doherty, Muff

The death has taken place of  Phonsie Doherty, formerly of Aught, Ture, Muff, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice.

Beloved husband of the late Carmel, loving father of Colette, Karl, Adrian, Dermott, Anne, Louise and Declan and a dear grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Funeral on Wednesday at 11am in Sacred Heart Church, Muff.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sean Doherty, Killygordon

The sudden death at his home has occurred of Sean Doherty, Tieveclogher, Killygordon.

Loving brother of Andy (Bridie), Hugo (Kathleen), Josephine (John Pat) and the late Anna (late Tony Kennedy), cherished son of the late Sarah Jane and Andy.

Funeral on Wednesday at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill with interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing brothers, sister, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces and entire family circle.

Esther Casey, Strabane and Letterkenny

The sudden death has occurred at her home of Esther Casey (née Callen), 43 Five Acres, Strabane and formerly  Letterkenny.

Beloved wife of the late Liam, much loved mother of Paula, Martin, John, Esther, Laura, Siobhan, Tony and Debbie, loving sister of Robert and the late James, Peggy, May and Celine.

Funeral from the family home on Wednesday at 9.20am for Requiem Mass at 10am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strabane. Interment afterwards in Strabane Cemetery.

The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam.

Family time please from 10pm on Tuesday and on the morning of the funeral.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sorrowing daughters, sons, their partners, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother and entire family circle.

Paddy Harron, Castlefinn

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Paddy Harron, Tawnacrum, Castlefinn.

Beloved husband of Nancy and much loved brother of Dinny, Andy and the late Hugh. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Requiem Mass in St.Mary’s Church, Castlefinn at 12 noon with interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

The house is private to family and close friends, at the request of the deceased.

Sr Stella Herlihy, Ardeskin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred peacefully in Sligo University Hospital of Sr Stella Herlihy, Kinsale, Co. Cork, Convent of Mercy Donegal Town and Ballyshannon.

Sadly missed by the Sisters of Mercy, Donegal Town and Ballyshannon and the wider Mercy Community of the Northern Province and by her brother-in-law Denis (Phil) in Manchester, her sister-in-law Claire (Donal), her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town with burial immediately afterwards in Clar Cemetery.
