Formerly of Monellan, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Peacefully at The Donegal Hospice surrounded by his loving family under the wonderful care of the entire hospice staff.

Sadly, missed by his son J.P., brothers, Paddy (Jeanette) and Dermot (Maria) and sister Elizabeth.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken son, brothers, sister, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relations, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

Pre-deceased by his father Paddy, mother Jean and brother-in-law Eddie Curran.

His remains will be reposing at his brother and sister-in-law Paddy and Jeanette’s residence at No.12 The Beeches, Navenny, Ballybofey.

Removal from there on Thursday, October 3 at 1.30pm to go to St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon for Requiem Mass at 2 pm with burial afterwards in the family plot in the adjoining Churchyard.

Patrick McDonagh, 50 The Grange, Letterkenny

Suddenly in Letterkenny University Hospital. ​​​​

Devoted Husband and father to wife Margaret, son Andrew (Steff), daughters, Clare (Stephen) and Marie (Barry).

Fondly remembered by sisters Mary and Teresa.

Patrick will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Morgan, Iona, Tristan, Shay, Sianna, Aoife and Charlie, extended family and friends.

Patrick’s remains will be reposing at his daughter Marie’s residence, No. 7 Carolina Park (F92 N6W4) on Wednesday, October 2 from 11 a.m.

Mary McGinley (née McCafferty) Forth, Ballyconnell, Falcarragh

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Mary McGinley, Forth, Ballyconnell, Falcarragh F92 AY76 surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Danny, her granddaughter Aisling, her parents Nancy and Tom, sisters Bridget, Katie and Nellie, brothers Eddie, Johnny, Jimmy and Dan.

Survived by her sons Charlie and Tommy, daughter Kathleen, daughters in law Mary and Anne, son in law Henry, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Joe, nephews, nieces and a circle of family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Wake today, Wednesday, October 2 from 11am with Rosary at 9.00pm.

House private after Rosary and on the morning of the Funeral.

Funeral from there on Thursday, October 3 for 11am Requiem Mass in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh F92 X302 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Anne Ward (née O’Donnell) Lucan, Dublin / Glenties

Ward (née O’Donnell) Anne (30th September 2024) late of Lucan and formerly of Glenties, Co Donegal, (peacefully) in Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Owen and Bridgit and brothers Johnny and Eugene. Devoted wife of the late Bernard and much-loved mother to Caroline, Brian, Eugene, Trevor, Fiona, Damien and Derek. Sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren Craig, Abbi, Rebecca, Kellie, Leah, Megan, Robert, Aaron, Lauren, Sean, Daniel, Ryan, Cian, Kyle, Eabha, Ella, Sophia and Isabella, sons-in-law Kenneth and Padraic, daughters-in-law Brenda, Ciara and Caroline, brothers Jimmy and William, sisters Bridie and Rosie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home today, Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in the Church of the Divine Mercy, Balgaddy followed by burial in Bohernabreena Cemetery arriving at approximately 1pm.

Vincent Morrow, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Vincent Morrow, Springfield, Dunkineely.

Mr Morrow passed away peacefully at Donegal Hospice surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 30.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and Jim, his brother Frankie and sister Bridie, sadly missed by his sisters, Margaret, Maura, Sally and Winnie, brothers-in-law Denis, Tom and Bob, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

Funeral Mass today, Wednesday at 12 noon with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Joan Pigott, Dublin and Moville

The death has occurred of Joan Pigott (née Denneny), Clonskeagh, Dublin and formerly Moville.

Ms Pigott, who was in her 95th year, passed away in the kind and gentle care of the staff of Belmont House Nursing Home on Monday, September 30.

Pre-deceased by her husband Pierce.

Beloved mother and devoted grandmother, Joan will be sadly missed by her children John, Helen, and Catherine, daughter-in-law Karen and sons-in-law Joe and Joe, her grandchildren Fiona, Ronan, Aisling, Ben, Sophie, Eva Rose, Sarah and, Anna and their respective partners.

Removal from Fanagans Funeral Home today, Wednesday, October 2 to the Church of the Assumption and SS Columbanus & Gall, Milltown arriving at 9.50am for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Daniel (Danny) Kelly, Meenglass, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Daniel (Danny) Kelly, Meenglass, Ballybofey.

Mr Kelly passed away peacefully at Arch View Lodge Nursing Home in Letterkenny, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 30.

Beloved son of the late Pat and Nellie, much loved brother of the late John, Harry, Pat, James, Eileen, and Mary. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand- nieces, extended family neighbours and friends.

Removal from his late residence today, Wednesday at 6.20pm to arrive at St. Mary’s church, Sessiaghoneill at 7pm, to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, October 3 at 11am.

Interment in the adjoining Churchyard.

Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the Funeral please.

Eileen Connolly, 82 Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Eileen Connolly (née McCutcheon) 82 Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny.

Ms Connolly passed away at her home on Monday, September 30.

Deeply regretted and forever missed by her family, sons Noel (Glasgow), Brian (Jenny) Offaly, daughter Martina (Paddy) and grandchildren Ciaran, Declan, Sam, James, Lauren, Nicole (Ciaran), Jordan, Brandon, Katie, Emma and Kingsley, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her late residence today, Wednesday, October 2 from 12pm to 9pm.

Rosary at 9pm.

Removal from there on Thursday, October 3 to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Philomena Mc Allister, 4 Clareden Drive Donegal Town.

Ms Mc Allister, a former nurse in Donegal Community Hospital, passed away peacefully in Sligo University Hospital.

Requiem Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church Donegal Town today, Wednesday at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in Clar Graveyard.

Colm McHugh, 249 Townparks, Convoy

The death has occurred of Colm McHugh, 249 Townparks Convoy.

Mr McHugh passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 30.

He is predeceased by his wife Vera and son Columba.

Much loved father of Gerard (Violet), Ann (Danny), Maresa (Dermot) and Paul (Debbie), cherished grandfather of Michael, Patrick, Ciara, Aisling, Megan, Gerard, Múirne, Danielle, Niall, Cólm, Sinéad and also great grandson Caomhán.

Survived by his dear sister Movita.

Funeral leaving from there today, Wednesday, October 2 at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Convoy followed by burial in the family plot in the old graveyard.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Sheelagh O’Connor (née Griffin), Castleconnell, Limerick / Culdaff

The death has occurred of Sheelagh O’Connor (née Griffin), Castleconnell, Limerick and formerly of Culdaff.

Ms O’Connor passed away peacefully in the tender care of Milford Hospice on Friday, September 27.

Predeceased by her loving husband Pat.

Much loved mother of Fiona, Patrick, Sean, Tony, Seamus, Roisin and Alan, daughters in-law Joan, Penny and Pauline, sons in-law Richard and Jim, grandchildren Rory, Padraig, Art, Eoghan, Enda, Donal, Grace (deceased), Ella, Anna and Jamie, granddaughters in-law Brooke and Aoife, great-grandchildren Saskia and Sage, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral leaving her home today, Wednesday, October 2 for 11:30am Funeral Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Castleconnell, which can be viewed on www.castleconnellparish.ie followed by cremation at Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.
