The death has occurred of Michael O’Byrne, Main Street, Kilcar.

Mr O’Byrne passed away on Tuesday, March 11.

Predeceased by his parents John and Ellen(Nellie), sister Kathleen and brother Paddy.

Sadly missed by his sister Máire, brothers John Joe and Martin, sister in law Christine and brother in law Paddy Joe O Donnell.

Remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara (F94 A250) on Wednesday, March 12 from 3pm to 9pm.

Removal from there on Thursday, March 13 to arrive at Kilcar Cemetery for burial at 1pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Irish Cancer Society.

House strictly private at Michael’s request.

Anne McGovern, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Anne McGovern (neé Drummond), Abbey view, The Abbey, Ballyshannon.

Ms McGovern passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family under the exceptional care of the nurses and doctors of the Northwest Hospice on Tuesday, March 11.

Predeceased by her husband Eugene, parents Patrick and Elizabeth Drummond, sisters Barbara and Maureen, brothers PJ, Sean and William.

Anne will be sadly missed by her children Susan (Tommy), Eugene (Angela), Colin (Kerry), Sandra (Jervis) and Derval (Kevin). She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren Sarah, Lisa, Emma, Aaron, Niamh, Eadhain and great-grandchildren Suzanna, Eoin, Jessica, Joe, Roisin and James.

Reposing at her late residence on Thursday from 2 pm to 7 pm with removal on Friday at 10.15am going to St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am.

Followed by service of cremation at Lakeland’s Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan at 3pm.

Donation in memory of Anne to the Northwest Hospice, The Mall, Sligo c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors or any family member.

John Govan, Frosses and Dublin

The death has occurred of John Govan, Ballymacahill, Frosses and formerly of Clondalkin, Dublin.

Mr Govan passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of his family.

Predeceased by his infant sons Joseph and William and his mother Theresa.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife Caroline.

Loving dad to Emma and Sean.

Will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday afternoon from 4pm to 7pm, to family, close friends and neighbours.

House strictly private at all others times please with rosary at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Dr Liam Bannan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Dr Liam (Thomas) Bannan, Ros Cuillinn, Cornagill, Letterkenny.

Dr Bannan passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 10.

Predeceased by his sister Fionnuala and his parents Bill and Elizabeth (Durrow, Laois).

Sadly missed and forever loved by his heartbroken wife Eileen, sons Ciarán, Colm and Finnian, daughters Fionnuala and Deirdre, daughters-in-law Laura, Danielle and Lucy, and son-in-law David Power, his 12 grandchildren Aisling, Éabha, Malachy, Alannah, Iona, Ruairí, Cara, Donnacha, Dónall, Ailbhe, Rossa, and Aidan.

Dear brother of Deirdre Wall (Crookstown, Cork), Enda (Sydney, Australia), Mairín Dunlea (Dublin), Eamonn (Tralee), and missed by his extended family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, colleagues and many friends.

Reposing at his late home, Ros Cuillinn, Cornagill, Letterkenny (F92 PTD8) from 12 noon to 9pm on Thursday, March 13, where you are most welcome to pay your respects.

Bridie McClafferty, Falcarragh

The death has occurred of Bridie McClafferty (née Gallagher), Fanmore, Falcarragh.

Ms McClafferty passed away in the Lake House Nursing Home, Portnablagh on Sunday, March 9.

Sadly missed by her sons Michael, Owenie and Charles, granddaughter Darcy, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Mickey.

Funeral Mass in St. Finian’s Church, Falcarragh on Wednesday, March 12 at 3pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jenna Shovlin, Portnoo

The death had occurred of Jenna Shovlin, The Rock, Clogher West, Portnoo, Donegal.

Ms Shovlin passed away suddenly in Manhattan, New York.

She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, Frankie and Kathleen, brothers Christopher (Tanya), Keith (Hannah), nieces Lilly and Jodie, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral arrangements later.

Joe Gallagher, Falcarragh

The peaceful death has taken place of Joe Gallagher, Drumfin, Falcarragh, in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.

Predeceased by his father John (Teish).

Sadly missed by his mother, Bridie, wife, Bernie, daughter, Maria and granddaughter, Croía, brothers, Danny, John Anthony and Paul, sisters, Patricia, Eileen and Bernadette.

House private on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St Fionan’s Church, Falcarragh, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Seamus Goe McShane, Teelin

The sudden death has occurred of Seamus Goe McShane, Ballymore, Teelin.

Sadly missed and dearly loved by his wife, Noreen, children, Barry (Amanda), Amanda (Dermot), Isla (David), grandchildren, Jess, Cora, Beth, Cora, Kian, Callum, Mia and Evie, brother, Colm, sisters, Mairead and Maire, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Tommy and Brigid, and his brother, Sean.

Remains reposing at McCabes Funeral Home, Ardara (F94 VCK1) on Tuesday, March 11 from 2pm to 7pm with removal to his late residence travelling via Glengesh, down Braide and onto Ballymore, Teelin.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 13 at 12 noon at St Columba’s Church, Carrick, Co Donegal with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House Strictly Private at all times as per Seamus’s wishes.
